Job Title: Production Assembler

Job Description

The Production Assembler performs semi-repetitive assembly and adjustment tasks using a variety of hand tools and simple power tools in a wood manufacturing environment. This role focuses on general production, mechanical assembly, inspection, and packaging, following blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to ensure high-quality finished products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and adjustment tasks of a semi-repetitive nature using hand tools and simple power tools.
  • Follow blueprints, drawings, manuals, procedure manuals, and assembly materials to correctly assemble products.
  • Carry out general production and mechanical tasks as directed to support manufacturing operations.
  • Inspect assembled parts and products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Package finished products safely and efficiently for shipment or further processing.
  • Use hand tools and power tools in a safe and controlled manner, adhering to all safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production and safety.
  • Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Report any issues with materials, tools, or equipment to the appropriate personnel to minimize downtime.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to stand for 8 or more hours per day and perform repetitive work.
  • Comfortable working with a variety of hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to read materials such as manuals, procedure manuals, and assembly materials and apply the content to daily tasks.
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Attention to detail when assembling, inspecting, and packaging products.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude to perform general production and assembly tasks.
  • Willingness and ability to work in a wood manufacturing environment.

  • No prior manufacturing experience required; training is provided.
  • Comfort with general labor tasks in a production setting.
  • Willingness to learn and follow established processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
