As an Associate in Accounting Services, you will play an important role in supporting client engagements, developing technical accounting skills, and contributing to a collaborative team environment. We are seeking an Associate to join our Accounting Services team to:

  • Assist in the preparation of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm standards.
  • Participate in client engagements, completing assigned work with attention to detail and quality.
  • Perform self-review of work to identify and correct errors prior to submission.
  • Support the preparation of payroll and sales tax returns (payroll processing).
  • Develop proficiency in firm software and accounting systems, including QuickBooks Online
  • Communicate regularly with team members regarding progress, questions, and workload capacity.
  • Manage assigned tasks to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to foster a positive and professional team environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with peers and client personnel.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally through written and verbal communication.
  • Seek guidance when needed and remain open to feedback to support development.
  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities, demonstrating accountability and reliability.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to build technical and soft skills.
  • Develop an understanding of client needs and how the firm delivers value.
  • Support firm initiatives, marketing efforts, and relationship-building activities.
  • Participate in community, professional, or networking events to begin building a professional network.
  • Contribute ideas to improve processes and enhance client service delivery.

Preferred Experience/Background/Skills:

  • Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping concepts
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online or the ability to quickly learn and use new accounting systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, equivalent experience, or in progress
  • 0–2 years of relevant accounting or internship experience preferred
